Want a supercar for around a $600? Although you can’t get behind the wheel of the Traxxas XO-1, this radio-controlled speedster can go 0-60 in 2.3 seconds and 0-100 in 4.9. There is even an iOS app that works with the radio controller to use your mobile device as a virtual dashboard.
So instead of pimping out a Camry to look like a Supercar, this might be the next best thing. Enough from us, just check out the videos, they speak for themselves. Hey Santa, um…

Earlier this year at the Beijing Auto Show, Volkswagen unveiled a concept hatchback known as the Golf R 400. It sported all the understated looks and cleanly hewn lines of the standard Golf R but with one rather notable addition, a power bump to the tune of around 400 horsepower.

Understandably, fan reception was good. So good in fact that this Golf to rule all other Golfs will allegedly go into production and could be heading to a Volkswagen dealership near you.

Though yet to be confirmed by Volkswagen, the UK’s CAR magazine is reporting that a production-ready R 400 is a sure thing, and expected to make its debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Auto Show just ahead of a late-2015 ship date. Final output figures are still unknown, but the publication’s sources indicate somewhere in the area of 400 to 414 horsepower.
So where will those 400-plus-horsepowers come from? Astonishingly, it’ll be a high-output variant of the Golf R’s current 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder, which produces a punchy 292 horsepower as stock. We’ve already seen this tuned version in both the Golf R 400 concept as well as the 420-horsepower Audi TT Sport Quattro concept. If the car does get the green light, it should spin up all four wheels quite readily.

Befitting its massive horsepower figure, the potent Golf is pegged to receive subtle aerodynamic tweaks and beefy brakes. Though since it has to roll down the same Wolfsburg production line in tandem with every other Golf, wheelbase and other hard figures are expect to remain unchanged.
The price? That too is unknown, but estimates price it less than €50,000 in Germany, which would put it somewhere in the $62,000 range on these shores … if it even arrives. Stay tuned for more on this.

I have been an RC enthusiast at different points in my life, sold my last one about a year ago. They are a great way to enjoy an afternoon and you get to do things with them that you just couldn't do with a normal car.

I was never a fan of the street rc cars, as you are more limited on where you can run them, unless you are close to a school, or tennis court, but when I was in my hayday with the rc cars I was living in the country so off road was the logical choice. My first RC car was a Monster Beetle lol, I would drive over my friends cars with mine which they didn't like but I just couldn't resist.

The new Golf will probably be a little rocket ship with that much power in it, but I'm not a huge volkswagen fan, days of the old jetta's they were just too small inside for my liking, with a chest and shoulders as big as mine, you tend to feel cramped in smaller cars lol, and realistically for that price I would buy a corvette

That would be a cool rc car to have but way to expensive for my pocket. I used to have those xmod cars that radio shack had. They were pretty neat but I don't think I would ever get anything like this. It would be neat to have some type of rc car to play around with but I doubt I would buy one right now. I have to many other things I would still rather buy.
