Equipped with six-speed manual transmissions, we took these three high-horsepower coupes to Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park's drag strip in Chandler, Ariz., to measure zero-to-60-mph and quarter-mile acceleration, then we shifted to an asphalt surface for 60-mph-to-zero braking distance tests. Wild Horse's 1.2-mile West Track road course was home for evaluating handling where some cars surprised with their sports-car-like athleticism.

It's a nice track for sure. The new management tore up the drag strip and paved it with concrete through the whole 1/4 mile instead of the 1000 feet or so that used to be concrete. It's a lot nicer and smoother now.
I've also done the Bondurant race school there too which was a blast.
IMO the whole place is a bit under utilized. I remember at my track back at home, it was just a 1/4 mile strip out in the middle of nowhere. That place was packed every Friday night with mostly amatuers and Sunday morning with more professional racing (they ran cash prizes for the Sunday racing).
This place has a 1/4 mile drag strip, a boat drag racing lake, and off road course with massive banks, and multiple small circuit tracks and it seems they only have a big open public event going once a month or so.
I think if they advertised better, they could have the drag strip and one race track packed every weekend (when it's not the middle of summer) for drag and drifting. Plus they should start their own amateur track racing class to get the bigger tracks used by people who just want to go out and have fun practicing without waiting for the few times a year they get rented out by the local racing leagues.
