oh no! that sux ...i feel for ya...i've had to do a tranny on one of my first cars..it gets expensive very fast...
The car I'm driving to work right now, I owed it one week and the tranny went out. Local shop wanted $1600 to do the rebuild. With my father being a retired Mopar employee the Mopar dealer agreed to fix the tranny for $1400.
The used car lot I bought the car at, I was ready to bite the owner's head off and spit down his neck. There's no way he didn't know this car had abad tranny when he sold it to me.
Strange part about all this is one afternoon out of the blue this guy I bought the car from calls me and tells me he's having the cops watch his car lot. Guess he thought I might beat him up or something?

yeah thers a lot of bright sides i.e. now that the tranny is gettin beefed up ill have better power to the pavement not to mention everything under the hood will be either new or close to it. there are soooooo many bright points but they are shadowed by the dark point that ive already paid 700 and i still gotta come up with 1000 more cos i cant get the car until its fixed so it'll be sittin in the parking lot of a lets say "less then desirable" neighborhood but yah s*** happens just gotta keep my head up and git r done
