Default $2,874

I just saw a Taylor 614Ce Electric Acoustic Guitar. Man... The little kid in me is screaming.

How can I justify spending $2854 for a guitar, when I have one daughter in college already, and another approaching it soon. When we need to get the roof repaired ($5,000), need new carpeting, the living room furniture is getting worn out, the deck needs to be repaired, the a/c is getting old and needs to be replaced. The dishwasher is broken and needs repair, and the lawn mower is broke.

I hate being an adult sometimes... You can't just throw responsibility out the window and go buy a toy... NO... We Have To Be Responsible! We Have To Talk ItOver With Our Spouse -- WHO IS GOING TO SAY NO! We Have To Put Other's Needs Above Our Own!

Do what I do, throw some of your old toys on ebay, then buy a new toy. I sold a 10 disc cd changer and a gps on ebay last week...hmm now what to buy.

Amortize it! Take the total amount of years you will have the new guitar ... then ... do the math!

Total Cost
Divided by years of enjoyment
Divided by 12 Months per year
Divided by 30 Average days per month
Divided by 24 Hours per day
Divided by 60 minutes per hour
Divided by 60 seconds per minute
The quotient per second to own the guitar times the estimated time per week you'll be twanging it to your favorite CD's ... EQUALS
Actual cost of bringing the New Ax into your life ....

"Look at these figurues, Honey! I think we can swing it if we switch to Mac and Cheese three times a week!"

Ah, buy it!!!

So what if the wife makes you sleep in the Monte. (and that's a bad thing?)

How is buying that any different then buying an '06 Monte when you already own 10 cars? Okay I'm not married and no kids. But I needed this Monte Carlo like I needed another car.

Oh, wait. That's the wrong way to look at this. OOPS!
