Its a badass car, but it looks ugly to me. I'd rather take that money and modd the hell outta my Monte or buy a couple of Mustangs, Challengers , and Corvettes.

Million Dollar Cars

Which of the world's finest cars cost a million dollars? More importantly, which of those million dollar cars are really worth a million dollars or even more than a million dollars?

Let's start at the top of the million dollar cars totem pole. Weighing in at 8 million dollars and literally weighing in at 2.66 tons is the carbon fiber and neoprene Maybach Exelero below, whose 8 million dollar price tag is inflated because most of it represents development costs for a one-off custom made car.

Among the cars that you can actually buy, the 1000 horsepower Bugatti Veyron tops the list at 2 million dollars. Slightly less powerful but sexier are a couple of 1 million dollar cars: Ferrari Enzo and the ultra-sleek Saleen.

Thereafter, we drop down into cars that cost mere six-figures. Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren and the Porsche Carrera GT are two of the cars that weigh in at $500,000.

In between $500,000 and $250,000 are the likes of Lamborghini Murcielago, Aston Martin Vanquish, Ferrari F430, and the less sporty Rolls Royce Phantom, Maybach 62 and 57, Bentley Arnage and Brooklands, and under $250,000 lie the mass market BMWs, the other Mercedes, Porsches, Jaguars, etc.

So back to our question: which car is worth the money? Or more precisely, which one should you buy?

Gigayacht

The 656' Gigayacht Everest tops the mega yacht ego-chain. Designed by Donald Starkey and currently under construction for delivery in 2011, Gigayacht Everest will be longer than two football fields and have five decks serviced by two elevators (Gigayacht length of 656' is 200 meters).

Appropriately named after the world's tallest peak, Gigayacht Everest's amenities include a submarine, heli-pad and hangar, indoor and outdoor pools, cinema and scuba center, to name just a few. And to guard against terrorists and Somali pirates, there's even talk of equipping Gigayacht Everest with deck-launched torpedoes and SAMs: "Ship-to-Air Missiles".

All this will be to pamper and protect only 34 passengers in 17 apartments. Consider Gigayacht Everest as an ultra-luxurious and secure private cruiser for every playful and paranoid whim of the uber-rich.

What will it take to own this monstrous toy? Gigayacht Everest's current price tag exceeds half billion dollars (that's "b"), not counting the cost to operate, which will require a crew of 80.

So, back to our question: should you buy a private yacht, and if so, what kind (if not the private giga-yacht)?

I agree with that! I'd get me a nice house & a 6 stall garage with a lift & a pit
to work on the ZR1, Z34 & some classic cars!

For me it would be a '70 Cougar, '70 Chevelle, and a '70 Challenger on top of my '68 Torino. I don't know if I'd drive them all as much as my Torino though. I want a '73-79 standard cab 8' bed pick up truck to have in decent shape, but not fix it up so great that I'm scared to throw something in the back of it either. Then a daily driver of some type and there ya go!
