Well it looks like the Monte Carlo Forum is becoming more and more popular with all of the newbies lately.
I bought a used low mileage 04 today. She is:
Black on black with silver lower accents 42K miles.SS Supercharged. Very clean interior and exterior.
I think it has every option avalabile to mankind so I won't waste your time. I don't know how many of these things I test drove in the last month, but I wound up with this one. I am so glad I don't have to deal with anymore dealers

Right off the bat I was really impressed with the mileage if I keep the foot light on the pedal. The performance is great for stock and I am sure I will do some mods at a later date.
I looked this thing over really good and three things are missing. I hope you guru's can help put me in the right direction to find these.
First the owners manual is missing. I am wondering if all the 2004 Monte Carlos had the same owner's manual? I saw one on epay today and it looked like it had the pouch etc. I will buy this one if they are all the same.
Second the unit is equipped with OnStar and ExM. The little antenna has been swiped off of the holder on the back glass. I am assuming this is part of the On Star system, but you know what happens when you assume.
The third thing that is missing (of all things) is the inner cover of the sunroof. I have no idea why anyone in their right mind would remove this, but it is gone. I looked back in the cavity to make sure nothing was torn or screwed up and all looked well. Do you think the Chevy dealer can order this?
