Glad to see you have a nice red Monte. welcome to THE Monte forum. Let me introduce you to my Lucy (OK, it's my wife LadyT's Lucy):

Lucy says "Welcome" Lucy! The Intimidator SS "Dale" says Hi, also!

Ad as far as the oil changing and other maintanence issues, don't waste your money on changing oil all the time. Just put in a quality full synthetic, such as Royal Purple, Amsoil, or Redline, or even something like Castrol Edge or Mobil 1 Extended Performance, change the filter every 3,000 miles, and run the oil for 6,000 - 12,000 miles with no problems. Rotate the tires every 6,000 miles. I've been doing that for over 600,000 miles now, and never opened a valve cover or pulled a pan (KNOCK ON WOOD). Forget the cheap filters such as Fram or even AC Delco, and go for the #1 rated Purolator, WIX, or a NAPA gold. There are other top quality filters, but some are real junk.

As far as the wash and wax, I don't think you can wax it too much, just use something quality, like Meguires NXT tech wax, or something comparable. Awesomw SS Amy, what do you use on your red beauty?

Wayne I strictly use Meguires products on both of my cars. I use the NXT line and the professional Mirror Glaze line. I love the NXT Tech Wax, it is incredible and so easy to use.

Thank-you. I bought some rostoleum for the underneith I believe the sway bars are rusting a tad. The one rim is bad, I'll change it. Next year I plan to get her painted (if I have a new garage built). Also after the garage I will put in all new seats.I also need to flush the tranny, it seems to be shifting a little harder than it should (flushing in a few weeks). The company that does the flushing has a guarantee of the transmission or they'll pay to fix it. Ethyl still needs to be purchased for "extra" insurance in case something like in The Big Lebowski happens haha. I love that movie.
