Hello Rick. Welcome to the forum. I am sorry that I don't have an answer to your question. I am a mopar guy that happens to own a rare Monte Carlo. I would suggest you post your question in the general forum area and I am sure someone here will have an answer for you. Gregg
The flapper hood from a 70 Chevelle works off of a vacum line. The kit costs a small fortune. In my ORIGINAL PARTS GROUP CATALOG. Page 291 they list all the parts for it. and the cost ? Are you sitting down ?? Ok here goes $ 549.95 ! Works on 70 71 72 Chevelles. Rick shop on line at WWW.OPGI.COM I know theres a lot of part that will interchange with the 70 Monte Carlo & the 70 Chevelle. Not sure on the hood. The hood only cost about $ 300.00. It's the rest of the stuff that cost an arm & a leg. Now if you want to cut your M/C hood and install a flapper. They have a kit for it. I think the cost on that is around $ 130 bucks. Now this is out of my 08 catalog. Rick you can call them toll free. at 1.800.chevelle and ask them any questions. I have & their pretty friendly. Let me know how this works for you...........Rick
