2001 Monte Carlo SS 3.8 V6 with 218,000 miles.

The car makes this high pitched whine noise when it is at operating temp and it only does it when at idle or coasting. It doesn't do it when accelerating. It makes the noise when the belt is off so that eliminates that. The trams fluid is good. Here is a short vid of the noise. https://db.tt/hH4XQSke

Sounds similar to a noise recently posted by another member. Haven't heard back yet to confirm the source of the problem, but on the 3rd page of the thread the member posted a video with sound.
Do you have any codes?
My thought was that it might be the harmonic balancer.
