Was wondering why I can't vote on Monte of the year?Also how long does it take or what do I have to do to change the New Member under my user name?

 

According to the rules:

All members now have to go through a 10 day AND 5 post minimum waiting period before gaining full access to the site.

I don't know if that is the applicable rule here as far as voting goes...

 

the status always changed by itself for me over time and when i made more post it changed i think

 

there is a probation period that new members go through (dont know the post count or time period) after that depending on your post count you get a different title and it changes on its own unless you win MOTM then it will no longer change on its own and when its time that you should be another title you have to contact a mod and have them change it manually. there is a thread on here somewhere saying at what post count is what title but im not sure where it is. last time i found it i asked a mod to pin it to the top but they never did

 

Cool,thank you all for the info. I looked for it but I couldn't find it. I think that's a good idea about pinning it to the top of the page. There is a whole lot of stuff on this site and sometimes it's hard to find things,buy I still love the site!

 

I was quoting from this thread which is pinned to the top of the New Member Area. By special request, I believe Admins Chibi or TheManiac can grant you voting privileges. But I could be wrong. The rules are there to assist with controlling spammer attacks

 

Voting and becoming a full member requires being a member for 5 days and 10 posts. I'm working to update the various notices around MCF.

Shelbo, I just checked and you should be good to go. Let me know if this is not the case.
