Nice find with your 85 Monte.

 

Thanks for the kind comments. I'm still trying to reduce the pictures small enough so I can post them. The car is a one owner, genuine 72000 miles and runs like new. It had sat in a garage for a year as the owner got too old to drive. My brother who runs a carpet and flooring business did some work for him and saw the car. He made the owner an offer, got it running and asked if I was interested as he knew I needed a second car for work. I've only used it for 2 weeks and I have had a lot of "thumbs ups" and asked several times if it's for sale. The answer is a polite No!
The only problems so far is a slight hesitation when moving from rest and a seized A/C compressor. Apart from that it drives beautifully. My brother is always finding cars like this and we wish we could buy them all to save them! When I go visit him we are almost reduced to tears when we see all the cool old cars frying in Las Vegas driveways. [sm=boohoo.gif]
