Question Synthetic, Blend, Regular Oil

Just purchased a 2006 SS with only 9000 miles! Beautiful car. With so few miles on it, is changing over to a blend or pure syn okay? Necessary? Recommeded? Warranted? Any perceived problems from doing this changeover? Recommended filter? I'm going to go strictly by the book on maintenance on this one. Had an 01, but this deal came along and want to take WAY better care of this one.

5.3l i assume?? synthetic is fine to change to now, its past the break in period. ac delco and purolator make great oil filters.. stay away from fram, lots of problems with the glue on the rubber gasket

Synthetic is fine to change to. I will be doing this for my next oil change.
I found my 2006 SS with only 16,500 miles on it and thought that was awesome. Lets see some pics of yours.
