I changed the fuel pressure regulator today. I warned the car up in my yard then drove to the neighbors house and let the car sit for an hour and it started great. I’ll check back in after a few weeks.

Thanks everyone.

Having the same issue also my gas gauge stays at full if im in drive, put it in park or reverse and it gives the correct reading. Just recently i started to smell gas when pushing the accelerator to keep it running. When i first got it, hooked it up to the gauge and it went straight to 30ish psi built up to 50 and took it a while to decompress.. Just had the recalled intake replaced... So should i start with fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator??

The fuel pressure regulator was very simple to rebuild. You will need a spray cleaner for carburetor and a few small hand tools.
