Saying Hi!
Hi Folks,
I was just passing through looking for suggestions with a problem with my car. I liked the personality of the Monte Carlo Forum so much that I was driven to register.
I got no pictures to share of my hot Monte. I don't even have a hot Monte! Sorry. I have been a sports coupe guy all my life and am on my fourth Monte Carlo.
My first was a black 75 that was a sweet cruiser. I sold it and my 71 Cougar (first car) to pay formy first human baby.
My second Monte was a 72 that I murdered. I drove it hard till it had no more to give then ripped a buddy off when I sold it to him for $200. (he traded it for a 65Ranchero that wasn't worth the Monte...go figure)
My third was a 70 thatI wish now I was old enough then to know what I had. It was stolen and destroyed.
I now own a (loaded? 3.1L) 97 LS that I bought so I'd have a nice ride to take to the 2000 Indy 500. It's served it's purpose and more. I'll drive itpast 200K next week and pass it on to my teenage daughter to drive to school. (yes, I've had to change the intake manifold gasket).
So, that's my Monte resume. I am currently on a restore on a 72 Luxury Lemans 400/400. My next project will be a classic Monte of some sort for my much better half. Bear with me until then. I will contribute my me, and some questions for now. I am very opinionated, long winded and always right. I'll do my best to deserve to be part of your Monte world.
Ben

RE: Saying Hi!
Welcome, Ben.
Great to hear about all the miles on the Monte, look forward to pics and news about the Monte for your better half. Man, I sure wish I could get my hands on a 70 MC, my grandfather had one when I was a little kid, I loved that car.......but then, I AM partial to MC's in general, LOL.
