Just wanted to stop by and say HI. I just bought a 97 LS. It has the 3100 in it, but i'm not looking to win any races with it, so its perfect. I've kustomized just about every thing that i have driven, some for performance, some for looks, but always in the name of fun. So to say that i have the mod bug is an understatement . Can't wait to sink my teeth into it.

Well, thats it for now. I will wait till the freezing rain and ice let up so i can detail it and take pics.

Peace out.

JJ

Welcome JJ!
Congrats on your 97. I had good luck with the 3100 engine in one of my previous cars. We're getting quite a few fifth generation Monte Carlos here.

We got freezing rain all day here too. (let's just say the metro Detroit area.......it's easier that way).

congrats, now if i were you id throw that 3100 in the garbage and upgrade. thats what came in my 97ls and it was horrible. it has a real bad problem with blowing head and lower intake gaskets. i suggest a swap to the supercharged 3800, you will absoluty love it with a passion

Welcome to the forum.

Good to see the members are already swapping out engines for you, LOL. Seriously though, any questions you might have, you will probably get several good answers from the helpful community members.
