Yes, I have entered this group for my father who has some questions regarding his 2004 Monte Carlo SS Coupe, Dale Earnhart Edition.
He purchased his vehicle in 2005, the car was used. He was wondering if he was to receive a certificate or statement verifying the car was a Dale Earnhart vehicle, or something that stated the # of the vehicle since he thought only 4000 of the cars were manufactured. Has anyone purchased their vehicle new from the dealership and received any verification as such.

GM only makes 1 original COA (Certificate of Authenticity) per "Specialty" vehicle. (There is no "copy's available unfortunately.0
But you can call the number below to get the actual production number.
Just be sure you have the VIN# to give to them and they will look it up and tell you the production number..

2004 was probably the Dale Earnhardt Jr. edition, but, it's pretty easy to tell. If you post a pic, I could identify it in a heartbeat.
The Dale Earnhardt Sr. edition came out in 2002 and exactly 3,333 of those were made.

 

Just an FYI, Dale Sr Montes were also made in 2004.......

There are a good amount of differences between the two
