Thumbs up Thanks!

Thanks for the welcome, guys! I appreciate everyone's reply.

Space was asking me about my MC preferences and it's definitely a 2006 or 2007 SS, preferably 2007 since I believe there was a slight improvement on the braking system between those two years, although I haven't confirmed that here on the boards. For the color, I saw a blue one at the CarMax site a while back - Laser Blue I think it's called - that looked amazing. I also like the dark red metallic (Red Jewel?) and finally I like the white, as long as it's a bright white (like the GM Olympic White on the Denali).

I just realized I picked red, white and blue.

And for the name "ghost," it's nothing heroic like being in covert ops, ghost was the name of my Caprice, seen here at Virginia Motorsports Park back in the day:

Thanks again for the warm welcome!

Thank you, Space, for doing all of that for me and for the compliment for my old "Ghost!"

I think I'm going to be doing business with CarMax so I can buy a comprehensive warranty with it - I don't want to worry about any issues. I don't mind the extra cost. If I find the right car and it's out of state, they can transfer the car for me too, often at no cost if it's within 250 miles.

I bought the original Ghost from Carmax in 1997 and was very happy with the experience and quality of the car.

Thanks again!

Welcome to the forum!

Just for gas mileage concerns, without really sacrificing power, you should look into adding a 2005 SS into the mix. That supercharged v6 is a beast, can easily be 300HP, and all the while keeping above 30mpg highway.

The LS4 really isn't that great with gas mileage. I would say you would be seeing a good mix of 18-20 mpgs.

(We also have a member selling her Silver 05 SS soon ) You might recognize it from a signature just above your post haha

I'm really set on staying with a V8 for the MC, having driven one already, and I also like the styling revision. Plus, financing the purchase of a vehicle more than 6 years old...the banks are hesitant to do that. I'm not paying cash for it.

I do appreciate the thought though!

AwesomeSS, what's next on your mod list?
