Cool Relatively new member

Hi Folks -
I am not new to forums or to automaiotive restorations.
I have restored a few cars like 1972 Camaro RS Z28, Lexus SC400, Firebird transplants (Camaro HO v6 325Hp into a Firebird) picture the state inspector when computer says Camaro and the car is a Firebird now that was funny.
when 15 I put a 350 V8 into a Pontiac Sunbird 1979 and thus started a lengthy trek of restoring and renovating cars.
After the Firebird I restored my dad's 1980 Monte Carlo Frame off restoration of course, undercarriage new body bushings etc... painted it in my garage - had to farm out the cancer removal from the south Alabama weather - 100% stripped and epoxy primer. - I can feature that one later. He did not even recognize it.
I liked it so much I got a ford nine inch and a 5.3 and built it up for another 1980 and figured out what torque steering is real quick. After that car was totaled I got a 1986 Monte Carlo with T-Tops Luxury sport.
After figuring out the car was special ordered with those T-Tops I took extra care to build it right. Removed frame and had it straightened, boxed, gusseted and reinforced up to 1100 HP.
New control Arms, Upgraded connecting arms, and reinforced package tray, the car is straight and true.
Then add in the 5.3 under a stock hood - a few dents and scratches here and there with an old set of Iroc Z wheels - voila its a sleeper.
The car has 2 fuel filters - one adapted from a Impala SS and the other just before the engine is a Corvette with the fuel return since the engine fuel regulator is in the tank.
the fuel tank is a Monte Carlo 4.3 V6 fuel injected.
New springs and a stabilizer out of a Buick Electra 327 model car - almost 2 inches thick reduces body role to almost 0.
The car is a hoot to drive yes I said hoot - also say things like groovy too - the Tesla panel and 5g wifi, auto navigation is nice too. Also Buick may claim their car is Alexa ready, but I beat them to it, I had Amazon alexa a year ago playing music and video on the the 10.4 inch panel. with Bluetooth enable engine monitoring and alert notifications.
Car may not look like much, but to me its like the Millennium Falcon - fast, sleek and ugly.
I will post pics of the complete build over time. The rewiring took 6 months as the console had to be integrated with ground relays.

things to change later is A/C omg needs the A/C reconnected, big brake conversion on the front and adapt in a single coil over strut to allow the front end to ride 2 inches lower fro an overall 4 inch drop in the front and a 4 inch drop in the rear with downward spoilers added to enhance ride. that is when its gets a new paint job.
right now I can run 10inch wide tires in the front and 12 wide in the rear due to the customer rear 9 inch with Torino style big bearings.

Anyone wants to do something tricked out and different its just a matter of some reading, planning and execution. I am not wealthy had to do everything on a budget - its possible spent a lot of time in salvages scrounging, sifting through swap meets all to get the parts together I needed. calling dealership about 2012 Buick and Cadillac parts for a 1986 Monte Carlo was fun.

Welcome.

SC400s are one of my favorite cars. The sound of a revved up 1uz, love it. Not sure it beats the sc300 with the 2j tho..
