have a 1986 Monte LS
Interested in finding ways to customize it here and post what I have been able to do with my Monte Carlo to help others.
I posted on here a while back using a linked account - decided to register an account instead.
Have a radical Monte Carlo with the 10.4 inch Tesla panel on a integrated 2012 Buick LaCrosse center console, and a Currie custom 63 inch wide rear end, hotchkis rear control arms and connecting rods. Car has push button Start FOB only ignition with digital Dash.
The frame is reinforced to manage up to 1000 Hp not that I will ever use that.
Need the front suspension to match the rear with the wider stance. Need to be able to run 12 inch wide tires all around without body fabrication.

The Tesla Panel is for a 2012 Lacrosse so its ODB II and Bluetooth.
The monitor can pick up the engine RPM, Speedometer, water temp and fuel economy.
The Engine and harness is 2005 LS motor.
The Tesla Panel can be for anything so say you put a 2015 supercharged vette engine in then yuo get a tesla panel for that 2015 vette and it picks up all the engine monitoring.
Also it has the normal navigation, multimedia, connected to a USB drive with Movies.
I have not been able to jail break it yet to add custom apps to it yet, but just takes time to get passed the security lock on it.

Car had 22 inch wheels, a completely shorted out harness, bad brakes, pretty much totaled under the hood had good body bought as a parts car.
Then pulled frame out as I always do media blasted painted with industrial paint after boxed in and cross braced.
What happens when you put 500 plus horse power in a G-Body with out reinforcing the frame?
You get torque steer - engine torque put more weight on one side than the other rear end tweak to the right and car does a funny ground loop to the left and you go backwards or worse upside down.
Never put horse power in a G body with out first reinforcing the wobbly frames.
P.S. I had a 1972 Camaro before this - my next hotrod might be all electric - currently getting up to speed on how to wire in a AC 3 phase off of a 12V battery set using an RV inverter (12v to 120V AC)
