Default purchased 86 SS

Greetings Monte Carlo members,
I am new to this forum, as I just purchased a 1986 Monte Carlo SS w/ 39k miles on it. I picked it up for $8100. Here are a few pics, give me some feedback please. I would also like to know what this car sold for when it was new?

Wow, she's gorgeous!! Welcome to the forum, sir.

I found this article on the web. From the caption of the pic, looks like they went for about $13K brand new and loaded. Can you spot the typo in the column under "Eye Appeal?"

This is site looks like a great resource for 4th gens: http://www.montecarloss.com/ Check the "Media" section for archived articles and what not.

Yeap, 305 CI, 180 HP, those darn tree hugging politicians were killing us badly back then. Watch those restrictions return now with the hippies back in control.[sm=nono.gif]Bye the way, welcome, that is a sweet ride. Most guys would recommend that you pull out that engine and put it into storage and drop a 350 in there. But she is so mint that she must be an awesome sight at 20 years old and so little on the clock.
