Thanks guys and gals, happy to be here.

And yes I will fix problems and improve the car, but as for mods just to gain 5-10 HP not needed, if I have the need for speed I will drive the other car.

Another advantage over the TA is regular gas.
Also the TA is hard to wash, all kinds of places water collects and then runs out leaving water spots, when I wash it is is an all day event. I don't take it out in rain or bad weather so that helps.
Another - Front wheel drive and winter is just around the corner, we had 2-3 snows last year and I went to work in everyone of them making the 16 mile commute in my 92 Trans Am getting dirty looks and horn honking from all the imports for leaving a gap so I could hold forward momentum, it is just a whole other driving strategy.
Don't get me wrong the TA is awesome, but for a different application then everyday driving.

Anyways, happy to be here, long time MC fan, repeat owner, looking to have this one for a while and then handing over to my son when he turns 16 and finding another garage queen out there to become my next daily.

Welcome to the site and very nice Monte. It's not that common to find a Monte with the high sports appearance package and cloth seats. I ordered my 03 special with the cloth seats because I didn't want the leather.

I was wondering about that, it really surprised me that it was cloth. I was set on a Hi Sport or Dale Sr car, I just really love the GFX, Wheels, and Spoiler on that bunch. My wife didn't like the decals on the Dale cars, so this one works out great.

That Cactus was in my Dad's neighbors front yard, not many here in Saint Louis. When I left AZ on my way home I took Hwy 60 from some town that started with an "S" Superior I think, that highway was beautiful, every corner was another amazing veiw.

Good call by your wife, I also can't stand the Dale or Jeff Gordon, or any other nascar embroidered Monte Carlo, it looks awful.

I like the regular Intimidator Monte Carlo, but when they put the Dale Earnhart or Jeff Gordon graphics on it, like the race car number, or the checkered flags, or the sport decals all over, I think it looks trashy and overdone. Just my opinion.

Welcome to the MCF family. Looks like you got a fine SS. Glad you like it. This is my 2nd 6th gen. I had an '01 and then this Intimidator SS. I LIKE the FWD cars in the northern states. I'm happy with mine, and I'm sure you will be happy with yours.
Welcome
