Old guy with a 76
Thanks for all the welcome(s) and nice comments about the MC.
If I were to restore this car where would I find some stock OEM swivel buckets and the correct console? This car originally had a bench seat and I put in the power buckets and console out of a Regal, iirc.

Hi, and welcome to the forum.
I'm not sure if they have the entire seat, or just the skins to go on the seats. But you might want to try Original Parts Group Inc. They have tons of original equipment replacement parts. Including interior pieces.

Seeing the pictures of your 76 reminded me of how nice it was to work on an engine when there was actually room to work in the engine compartment. Unlike these 6th gens where you need to undo the engine mounts and roll the engine forward just to change the spark plugs.

Thanks for the link. I'll do a little searching. Below is a link with some more pictures of the good and the bad. -in case anyone wants to make an offer.
I cleaned it up today and the engine runs great. Transmission is slow to go into gear and slipping a bit in reverse and there is a slight coolant leak where the lower hose connects to the pump. Or maybe the pump itself is leaking. Shouldn't be hard to fix or replace the pump because I can stand between the radiator and the engine. lol. Actually think I have a new pump out in the garage. It has dual exhaust and the cams do sound nice at idle.

Ah, now I see why there's more room in the engine bay. The old belt driven fan was replaced with two electric ones. Nice job. How long did it take you to do that? Did you notice much difference?
Mounting the fans was pretty easy. I brazed a bung for an electric thermostat in the radiator end tank and then wired in a relay to start the fans. No performance gain but maybe saves some gas. ha ha. I'm guessing the second gen Montes weigh close to 5000 lbs.
Changed the oil and Seafoamed the engine yesterday. A bottle of Transtune in the transmission fixed the slipping. I'm planning on changing the ATF and fixing the water pump in the next few days.
