Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Jeremy and I'm me to the forum. I'm starting a rebuild on a 1985 Monte. This will be my first real restoration and I'm looking forward to checking out all the great posts that y'all have accumulated throughout the years. My first car was a 1986 Buick Regal that I bought my senior year of high school. I had always wanted a Monte Carlo but never had the chance to find one I could afford. Now that I'm older I'm looking forward to making that happen. What are y'all's thoughts on engine? I'm kinda thinking about 4.3 vortec or 350.

Welcome to the MCForum. I had a 4.3 in an 85 Monte Carlo I bought it with on 5K on it back in 85. Not a bad engine but at 125K the oil pump went bad and so did the motor replaced it with a rebuilt unit and it worked okay.It had the fuel injection on it.
After I got a replacement Car I sold it as a school car, some fellow doing roofing got it for his daughter.
I might have opted for the V-8 back then a bit more power
