lol we have at the track before & I smoked him. I'm trying to conserve gas money right now so I don't do much racing nowadays but I'm sure once gas isn't such an issue then we will race again

I don't know much about the turbo mod world, but the stock GM wires from most my research are the best for many mods (if you feel a need for bigger/better wires, you'll want to upgrade the entire ignition system to get the benefit from them).
I saw you were already swayed from the MSD coils. Sounds like you have an L36, grab a set of L67 coils. They run a little hotter, give a slightly better throttle response. Target the price for a decent used set around $15-$30 shipped OR junk yard pick up. I got mine for $15 from a local Pull-A-Part. The L67 coil mod I do not believe is worth much more then $30.

Hope it comes together well, keep us updated!

The only upgrade that the PRJ wires will give you is the ability to change your spark plugs easier because those boots come off very easy. But it isn't necessary unless you are running through spark plugs like crazy which you shouldn't be.

The spark plugs should stay stock as well, don't worry about trying a performance plug, the stock ones will hold up just fine.

Yes I do have the L36 engine. The L67 coils sound like there right up my alley. Thanks for the info Maniac and I will.
You guys seem to be saving me alot of money, Im glad I joined up! My ride has about 120,000 miles on it now and I beleive the stock plugs are still in it. I bought it back in 07 with 29,100 on the OD. I was looking to put better sparkplugs in it but Im sure ChibiBlackSheep has been around the block a few times so Ill buy buy new stock plugs. Doesnt hurt to save a little cash especially these days. I love the ride Chibi.
I dont see many folks on here with my paint code though. I have Bronze Mist. I plan on leaving the color because its grown on me.

Thanks for the compliments

If you really want to change the performance of the ride look in the intake section there is a great sticky on building the 3800 engine.

Another thing to consider is once you know what you want the end result to be, it's probably BEST to upgrade the exhaust first and work your way forward from there. It does NO good to have mods to improve air flow if the exhaust won't let that flow out.

Yeah, I've been thinking about that for the past couple of days. I've got my eye on a couple of brands, a few of them being: Magnaflow and borla. Do you have any suggestions Maniac? I want it to have a meduim growl kinda like a 93' Cadillac STS or at least as close as I can get it. I know it's a V-6 lol.

Also if I upgrade the exhaust is it really necessary to upgrade the headers along with it?
I really want the end result to be just a bit more muscle, say about 300hp instead of 200hp. I'm not trying to take it to the track or anything, I just want a fun daily driver.
I enjoy driving it now, I just want more pep. Know what I mean?

You aren't going to get 300HP out of this car unless you get boost on it.
