Hey all, I'm GW. Retired from Air Traffic control 4 years ago after doing it for 33 yrs. After about 20 years of begging my sister-in-law she finally sold me her Black Taz '01 SS Pace Car. I haven't gotten it yet but I'm stoked. I have a question for you all. What races was this car used for. I want to get a personalized plate but God forbid I put Indy on it when it wasn't used there. 😜

If it is a car like #3 is showing Brickyard 400 and the very large Taz, that is known as a "Festival Car" (RPO code WV1 for the Brickyard 400 and WV2 for the NASCAR). 101 cars made of WV1 and 50 of WV2.

If it lacks those items and RPO option code (you can check the option sticker under the trunk lid), then it is a 2001 Pace Car Replica, option Y92 and 1300 of them were made.

But no matter what it is, it is a Monte and pretty cool just on that alone

 

It is the 1300 batch. So I guess a replica. I still am looking forward to getting it and am glad I made the purchase. With 6300 original miles how can I go wrong. Thanks for the help.
