New & in need of some help
I have a 2001 3.8l ss monte carlo, no major mods.
Only a k&n filter and a 2.5" exhaust.
I have a few questions for the more experienced monte owners
will the 2008 tail lights
fit my 01"??
What can i do to get more hp on a small budget?
I heard of the fwi but im not sure how to make one...
IS THERE ANY "CHIPS" FOR MY CAR??

There is no 2008 monte Carlo, but the 2006 and 2007 lights will fit.
HP wise, you just have to make the engine breath better. take a look at this thread, you have an L36
There are plenty of PCM options for you car (which you should do, never a chip) but that will come with research, just keep reading around!

As Chibi said, 2007 was the last year the Monte was made...yes the 06-07 tail lights will fit your Monte...
As for a chip DO NOT even think about it for another second, especially a Jet Chip...I JUST went through that, and fried my entire ECM. If you really want to change timing, etc. for more power go with a custom tune...Chibiblacksheep can give you the details for that!
Otherwise, your intake and exhaust are great mods to start with.....
