2006 Monte Carlo LT 3.5l

Warranty is up and I found this place....

Let me tell you... The dash rattles andthe front end clunks.. Replacing a Bad Tie Rod made the clunkgo away for about 4 months.

Very Dependable car but very noisy.. [&:]

Here is what work I have had done to this car..

Tie Rod
Power Steering Hose
Oil Pan Gasket
Seat Lever

Not too bad I guess...

I plan on keeping the car pretty much stock.. Well if something breaks I may go with something that surpasses OEM..

Jeff, around here, we just turn up our stereos real loud, and drive real fast with the windows down to make the rattling disappear!

Turning my stereo up loud is what caused a few of the rattles in my car. That, and the pot holes.

 

welcome buddy. don't worry in time we'll convice ya to spend some money on that monte of yours. can't wait to see some pics. another thing to check is the hinges for your doors. they are fat and the General doesn't put beefier hinges in em.

 

Welcome Jeff to the MC Forum. Sorry to hear about your rattles. Hope they get fixed. This my 3rd Monte, 2nd, an '01 SS LE had 116,000mi and no rattles or squeaks, nor does this '04 Intimidator SS at just over 60,000 mi. ROCK solid cars, in my opinion, and safe. I totalled 2 Impalas, then started driving the 2 door version.
