Welcome, that is.

Very nice collection of cars you have there.

I see your wife drives the G8, would you trade your Monte for a G8?

Or trade the Vette for a G8?

If you had to choose, which one would you pick for a daily driver?

Just curious, thanks.

I just bought my wife the G8 2 months ago. she was driving the ss everyday and i was driving the vette as a daily driver. we were pregnant and knew the vette was not going to be good which prompted the g8, but we both new we did not want to get rid of the vette or the ss so the g8 was added to the family. i drive the ss daily now and just put a navigation in it this last weekend. I have had 7 corvettes pics below. by the way we lost the baby and are trying again.

You mentioned trouble with your Monte recently...what kind of trouble? At how many miles? Just curious since I have an '06 SS also.

Im at 48k

1. the gear shifter would not go into park all the way so the key would not come out.
2. battery (normal so not mad about that)
3. dash was curling up in front
4. TPMS keeps telling me service tire monitor system (have has 3 sensors replaced already)
5. service air bag light comes on... fixed again
6. now it has a ticking in the pass side dash area when ac comes off and on

minor stuff but all out of warranty but my GM dealer has covered all the repairs except for the battery but I also spent alot of money there in regular service work.

A couple of those things sound familiar. I had to get the battery replaced a few months back at around 24k miles and for the past year my service tire pressure monitor system light will come on about 30 minutes into a long distance trip where I'm driving on the interstate at about 75-80 mph. The dealership hasn't been able to find any problem and has told me those tire pressure systems are just kind of finicky like that. It only seems to happen on long, higher speed trips, which I don't take very often, so it's not that big of a deal. Of course, any issue is one too many for me.... lol
