Default New member, looking at buying a 2005 SS

I'm looking at buying a 140,000 mile 2005 SS, white with a moon roof. Haven't driven it yet, only looked at it at the car lot. It seems to be good inside and out,no leak on the moon roof, and has a patch at top center above the windshield and the moon roof where some paint is missing. Also a piece of the s on the ss is missing on the drivers side . Anything I need to check for when I do test it out Saturday? Thanks for any replies.

welcome to the forum, and best of luck with the car if you decide to purchase.

One of the main problems with out cars is the wheel speed sensors, and the transmissions. There are others but these seem to be the most common. When test driving ensure that the car shifts properly, and smoothly. The wheel speed sensors are no big deal, usually the wires become brittle and break, or the wheel bearings need replacing, both fairly minimal jobs and just normal wear and tear as far as I'm concerned. These cars drive like a dream and I'm sure if you get one you will be very pleased with it.
