Hi all; My wife and I just bought a 01 monte SS. My son has an 83 SS that we built a 406sbc for, used a rear diff out of an 87 buick grand national and also the valve body from a GN along with some other trans mods. We have a prob with the 01 that I'm going to search on before I ask for help.

Thanks for the welcome. The best time my son has turned was a 13.02 @ 112 mph. That was 2 yrs ago (he's away at college now and not driving it much) Since then we have added a BMR fabrication sway bar and upper/lower control arms and a set of DOT drag radials. The car is running 410 hp & 465 ft lbs torque. He seems to have a traction problem

Yeah, I would say that he has a traction problem!!!!![8D]

Welcome to the Official Unofficial Monte Carlo Forum. We are a dedicated "*****-Free Zone" and treat our membership like family (so mind you manners!![8D])

It sounds like you have quite a family of Montes there. We would all love to see pics whenever you get a chance. Please feel free to poke around as much as you like and ask plenty of questions. We're all here to help.
