Default new 2 mcf

hey! i'm new 2 the site. very interested in hearing from owners of older monte carlos. i own a 78 monte carlo lowrider. its white w/blue interior, it needs some work, but it is my daily driver. my main issue right now is the faulty gas gauge. checked and cleaned the ground connection @ sender unit, thatdid not fix the problem. anyone have any ideas what else could be the trouble? thanx 4 your time.

Welcome to the Official Unofficial Monte Carlo Forum, ruedogg. Glad to add another cool old school monte to the family. We have a few members here who share your classic taste and should be able to help you out with your problem. There are a number of actual mechanics that are active members as well. Do a little searching in the forum threads and you might find the answer to your question.

Welcome to MCF Ruoal!!! You mentioned you cleaned the ground on your gage system. Have you tested it electrically though? You might want to run a test set of new wires, don't install them yet, just see if new wires fixes it.
