CL + Taurus, That's hilarious... I would take a blast to the face from a 12GA before I went the minivan route.

My point is we have a reliable 4-door vehicle with the Rav 4, two if you count the '99 Corolla, although it is a teeny tiny death trap if you ask me just because of the size.

I think that she just cant understand the amount of loss that I felt over that car and how much (as strange as it sounds) that I loved it. As a general rule, women do not understand men and their passion for their cars. THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS to that rule, but not many.

As for that Intimidator SS on craigslist, nice, but a little too far to travel when there are plenty of them in Charlotte for sale (NASCAR country) and I thought the painting on the rear was a bit much for even my love of Dale Earnhardt and Monte Carlo's although the ram air style hood is a nice accent and I even had one on order prior to my accident in '05.

Welcome to the site. Good luck in your search. As far as the car seats are concerned my wife and I did 2 in a grand am 2 door and the added a toddler seat for a total of 3. It's a pain but if you don't have to use it as primary kid transport it's ok. Also it only lasts for a little while, By the time my kids were about 3 they buckled themselves into the seats.

We still have to finish college and get married before kids we are talking around another 3 years (I'm 28 and have just returned to school) She is about to graduate and 22.

But in 3 or 4 years we can have the 2 door vs 4 door practicality discussion and at that point get another 4 door vehicle if we must have more than one.

I appriciate all the warm welcomes and support from everyone!

At least they know what a spoiler is... and even a whale tale or surfboard spoiler is better than an erector set fast and furious style wing that so many people have on their cars now...

And how dare anyone who drives a station wagon Taurus mock you... Next time just go back at her for driving the Griswold Wagon Queen family truckster. "You think you hate it now, wait till you drive it."

Welcome to the site. You don't need 4 doors when the back seat is as roomy as it is in a sixth gen Monte Carlo.

Welcome, go ahead and get the Monte you want, they say it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission so the saying goes..........After all are you or are you not wanting an Intimidator...Tough name and act to follow, lets just get it bought and deal with things later......Least I can say that cause I don't have to live with her and you do,
