new here tryin to get info
i am new to the Chevy scene i just got my first car well second but first never drove i sold a 79 f15 ranger xlt and bought a 1970 monte and i was told it was all original and according to the cowl tag paint color and interior match up but i removed the back seat and low and behold no build sheet anyone know where i could get a new one made up form the vin. ive heard of that being done but wasnt sure if its able to be done for this car. i would be much obliged to anyone who can help me.

You can't replicate a build sheet from the VIN. It will ID the series, body style, model year, assembly plant and serial number of the vehicle but won't tell you any of the original options the car had. The GM Heritage Center only goes back to 1977, but they might know where/how to reconstruct a build sheet. Good luck.

You can email cac@Chevrolet.com with your VIN number, mailing address and daytime phone number. This is Chevrolet's restoration department. They will send you, a packet of information on the Monte Carlo line, as well as information specific to the 1970 model year .
