New Here from Kentucky
New guy here. Just purchased a 2004 berry red SS last Saturday. Sold my old 99 Jeep Cherokee and had been looking at the Grand Prix for a replacement. Had been looking at dealers and privet party for a few weeks with no luck.
Drove to Dayton OH. last Saturday to look at a 03 Bonneville but it was pretty rough, and on the way back to the car I spotted the Monte Carlo. First walk around looked really nice, then went in to ask the salesman about it and I asked if it was supercharged and hey says "all Super Sports are". So back to the car we go about to pull away and my son calls to see how the search was going and told him about the SS Monte but it was supercharged and hey says "I don't think they all are, I would take another look to be sure".
Went back in and got the keys and looked under the hood and no supercharger. After a test drive I was sold. Loaded with all the options and in really great shape, thanks to the previous owner. It seems really hard find a good used car anymore and I'm sold on the 3.8.
It does have one issue, the dancing gas gauge. Didn't notice it until Monday evening when my wife came home and says " thanks for filling the car up yesterday" but I hadn't.
Tuesday she calls me up at work and says "on my way to work this morning it went to empty".
I searched this site and found the fix with detailed how to info. Thanks everyone for the fix on this.

Check in the General Tech. section and they have a sticky at the top under fuel problem. Looks like this is the route I'm going to go. Hope this helps.
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!
