The longer ramp was what I was kinda thinking to try but seeing it stable and made of wood makes it seem abit easier. I was thinking of making them concrete but that wood would be nice and not permanent to my yard.

OK, finally got my car back -- he sanded the headlights with 800 and/or 1000 grit and put on a double layer of vehicle clear coat and they look great! definely worth trying if you've got the elbow grease and clear coat.
