Welcome, so how much $$$ constitutes a 'good deal.'

Welcome Mike from Jacksonville, to the Monte Carlo Forum, from another L67 owner. The blue is my favorite color, also, but I couldn't pass up the deal on my ultra low milage Intimidator SS when I got this, as there were NO blue ones anywhere. Went 600 miles to get this one.
My wife has an LS1 truck, also, a '99 Silverado Z71 Sportside. Got to have the 4WD here in Michigan. Yours is VERY sharp! Any problems with the NOS?
Thanks! We ripped the 4.8 out of mine and replaced it with a low mileage 5.7L LS1 pulled out of a 2001 T/A.

I did have one problem with the nitrous, which is why I'm having to rebuild the engine now. The truck went lean on the top end of a 1/4 mile pass and burned the electrode off of one of the plugs; partly because of what I think is a bad tune, and possibly due to the stock fuel system. Other than that, no problems. I was a little scared of it at first, but realized that it's usually not the nitrous that's the problem...it's making sure that you take all of the precautions necessary to keep the truck from going lean from the nitrous. A good fuel system and tune are a must, especially at the HP levels I want to eventually get to.

I got the car for $15,990 before TTT. I traded a 1997 Saturn that I paid $500 for; they gave me $1200 for it. So after everything was said and done, my out the door price was $16,500. The car is loaded, has a clean Carfax, and just over 26k miles when I bought it. That's about what KBB and NADA have as trade in value, so I think I came out ahead.

I was originally looking for an LS4 06-07 car, but couldn't pass on the deal because of the color. I was actually quite surprised by the L67's performance. While a V8 would've been nice, I'm extremely impressed with the car. Hopefully I can find a LBM LS4 car for a good deal when the time comes to get another car!
