Default New guy
I found this forum after picking up a 1998 monte carlo LS with a 3.1. I work on classic cars in my spare time currently working on my fathers 1924 Model T, and a one owner 1969 roadrunner. I bought the monte to replace my worn out 94 s10 blazer that gave up. I love the styling of it . but the motor ate it self yesterday. I think the oil pump took a crap . I found a 98 Malibu rear ended wrecked for 400.00 It has a 2000 3.1 just rebuilt with the paperwork on it . That's about it , I spend a lot of time here in Washington State riding my dual sport up in the mountains .

Bad news , Driving to a job interview yesterday and the motor took a crap . No warning . I `m looking for another motor now 3.1
