Hello from the southeast section of lower Michigan. I had found this forum to look up problems on my '96 Monte after I bought it. I have replaced my battery, brakes, windshield wipers and done a full cleaning as well as replace my shifter cable. TWICE! The first one I bought was defective and I was issued a "free" replacement.

right now i have two main problems:

1). The car makes a ticking sound while in reverse
-can be felt through shifter
-rapidity increases with speed

2). The windshield wiper fluid container does not re-engage with tube leading to wipers
-on top of the battery, have to remove bar, cord to container, and container to get to the battery
-trees everywhere, every time I park my windshield gets covered in sap.

any suggestions where to start? and again, Hello.

That sounds wonderful, even at an hour and a half drive from the Waterford area where I roam, but my parents put together our last big family vacation to start the next day so I'll have to see how the time works.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

If I can find a camera I can plug into my computer I'll show you. But I warn you everyone I've met agrees, he looks like a Carl.

Hi All,

I'm in Southwest Idaho, Nampa, and I found this forum a long time ago but interests led me in other directions until now. Yep got a problem with my 2004 Monte, the first one that I've needed some help on. Dealers around here are pretty incompetent so thought I would try and post up for some help.

I'll check the tech areas first, then post if I can't find something.

John
