here is a picture of the 85 CL 4.3 in the sunlight. needs a few things here and there, but it is all original.

here is what i am planning. give me your opinions.

1. fresh up the interior. needs seats redone, door panels redone. nothing wrong with them, just faded a bit.
2. replace weather stripping, and some molding.
3. replace the top.
4. has an exhaust leak.
5. maybe lower it a bit.
6. dual exhaust with flowmaster 40
7. SS stand up wing for the decklid.

Let me know if you find a reasonable price for weatherstripping. I need to replace mine too. And window felts...

well my uncle before he got sick bought brand new window felts for the outside, for both doors, as well as some chrome pieces for the rear bumper that were faded out. i have been looking on ebay for weather stripping. but kind of high priced. still looking.

If you don't need felts then the second set would be the most economical.
The first set has everything!!!
I have a brand new trunk seal in place and my drivers side door seals are not an issue...yet. Man that stuff is so expensive...lol
Passenger side---all seals and felts needed and driver side felts....
hmmmm...
I am definitely adding things to my "gotta buy list. I also need that back metallic strip on top of my bumper and also the plastic/metalic strip for my front bumper. Guess I need to go to the junk yard and go shopping...LOL

yeah i got a big *** list on my computer of things i want to replace, and make new again. can't believe how much the hood ornament costs. also need the monte carlo crest on both sides of the vinyl top above the CL emblem as well as the monte carlo script for both front fenders. Places seem kind of proud of their prices for alot of things.

Yes they are extremely proud of the hood ornaments and old badges!!
Take a picture of your current side panel crests so I can see exactly what yours look like and I will keep an eye out for them too when I am out and about or browsing online. I will check my stash of Montes at the junkyard for the front fender badges. Never looked for them as I have mine and did not need them. Not sure when I will get back there but I will be back there soon. I am going to be looking for some stuff for another member too.. I am fortunate that my junk yard has alot of Montes (unfortunate for the cars though )
Opps just looked at your pic again and noticed you do not have the badge on the passenger side on the vinyl..is the drivers side missing too?? Like I said, I will see what I can find the next time I go.

i find it funny that the clock still works in the dash, and keeps perfect time, oh yeah the emblem on the dash that says monte carlo in front of the passenger is missing too.
