New to forum -- 1970 Monte Carlo
Hello, just found this forum and thought I'd check it out.
I've had my Monte for about 20 years although it's been in the family since 1973. My Grandpa bought it for my Dad to resell (he was an auto broker at the time) but fell in love with it and couldn't give it up. He christened the car "The Green Hornet" and that's been its name ever since.
It's been a never ending project since about 1993. So far, most of the mechanicals have been gone through and I have the majority of the interior parts sitting in the shop waiting to be installed. My vision of the car has changed over the years from a daily driver to a mild quarter miler and over the next year or so, I hope to finish the interior and do some performance upgrades such as converting the open rear end to a posi unit with lower gears.
I also have several vintage Buicks and when I'm not driving the Monte, I can be seen cruising around in '68 and '69 GS's. I'll get some pictures up eventually, take care.

Thanks for the welcome. As soon as I get enough posts, I'll put up some pictures. I will most likely have alot of questions about the open to posi rear end switch but I'll wait until I actually start the project.
