Not an easy job.

If you wanna do it without hassle or tons of money... trade it in for a car with the v8 already in it. Truthfully.

Here's a thread about a guy that actually did the v8 swap and EVERYTHING he had to do: https://montecarloforum.com/forum/si...per-ls4-26283/

Welcome to the Monte Carlo Family

It could be done, but it would cost a lot of $'s + work..

You would be better getting a RWD Monte Carlo to have a V8 or look for a 06/07 Monte Carlo S.S. V8

Explore the MCF to view Member's Monte's & many that have SuperCharged & Turbo V-6's...

Check back to see what our other member's post about your request...Good Luck from `Space

Greetings!

Swapping a V8 into your LS would be a major undertaking as you'll see in the thread that Mike (Chibi) linked to.

Welcome.

You are better off buying a V-8 car or do an L76 swap

Welcome to the Forum! I agree with chibi trade it off for the v8 model, or if you can live with it get the Supercharged 3800

Welcome to the site. The swap is not really worth the time and effort but good luck in whatever you decide.
