New to the 06-07 Monte scene
What's up everyone! Just bought an 07 white and silver exterior SS and I'm in the process of learning about these cars. I've developed a deep obsession with the Monte Carlo SS but only the mid 80's ones. I owned 3 (two 87's and an 88) and all three were stolen or vandalized, which caused me to give up on them. Gotta love DC for that! Anyway... Bought a Bimmer. Hated it. Decided to try another Monte for a project car when I saw a coworker with his custom 06. He went on and on about the car so much I decided to try a more modern feel. I've done a ton of research on the possibilities or this car and thought what better place to do more research. The more I read the more excited I get about the purchase. Thanks for your time.

Welcome to the Monte Carlo Family.
It's great that you found the last year of the Monte Carlo + yours is the desired S.S. Model.
How many miles are on your Monte Carlo ?
What options ?
Do you have any pictures to share ?
Wish you safe/fun & happy miles.

Good Morning, welcome to the fourm.
My 06 is still going strong with 236,000 km's on it.
But that's because I've done all the upkeep to keep it going.
rebuilt trans at 210k km's
replaced lots and lots of parts.
I try to use better than original parts for every repair.
and yup, I've got that lifter tap.
but now seals and/or gaskets seeping.
