Post Need some other ideas

I have a 1995 MC Z34 3.4L that is sputtering a lot. Yesterday I changed the spark plugs in my car because it was missing a little. I started the car right after i put them in and it started fine with no misses. This morning I left to go to the doctors and the car shook and sputtered. I managed to get it home and started to look at my plugs and found no problems with my plugs or wires. Now it sputters and sounds like a hollow backfire. The engine shakes violently and I am at a loss. This being my first post I hope that I am in the right place. Things I have replaced, fuel filter, spark plugs, plug wires. Have not had any luck bring my baby back to running right. Thanks for you for the help in advance.

Mike listed some good threads above.
I would also be suspicious of the upstream O2 sensor, but there are a few other things I would also give some attention to:

1. Have the car checked for codes. Most large auto parts stores will do it for free.

2. The 3.4L is known for blockage of the passage between the EGR valve and throttle body. Carbon builds up and needs to be scraped out at the opening from inside the throttle body and use mechanics wire to clean out the small passage.

3. Inspect and clean the MAF sensor. It may need to be replaced. Stay away from aftermarket MAF's. Use ACDelco.

4. Don't go by looks on those plug wires. If they're old replace them.

4. The catalytic converter may be clogged. That should trigger a code.

before the sensor try some Baryman's cleaner the add to gas type ...... if some carbon it may help to clean it out
The commentators above me are truly above me, I'm just offering a $10.00 check
