Thanks guys! I barely got the emblem in the mail and theyre the same size though! That's not what I wanted I even emailed the guy before I got it to make sure and he said it was 1.5x3. Going to put the rims on 2mrw and the car in the shop on Thursday morning and the system on Sunday. I have the slp grille and I have to put the 5inch emblem

Welcome to the forum... Sounds like you are building a sweet ride... I too am not a fan of the big rims, however, I can appreciate and respect individual tastes... Good luck and don't forget to post pics...

Yea I can't wait! I like both styles alot I really wanted to get 2 monte Carlo 1 for show and another for performance. I wouldn't go too far with rims 24s are too big in my opinion. In Dallas where I live there are about 5 other white montes and one has 22s so I want mine to pop. The only thing that worries me is the emblem looking dumb on the front because its bigger than i expected. When the outside is done I want to get blue sweide seats.

Can you post a pic of the emblem on the grille?... I ordered one of the side SS emblems and placed it on my SLP grille and it fits perfectly... Have you considered getting the Red Bowtie from the trunk of a 6th gen Monte and having it painted?... Might be the size your looking for... Good luck...

Welcome to the Monte Carlo family. Where are you having your car painted? Are you doing it yourself? How big a color change is it? I really want to get my white 2007 Monte painted Victory Red but everybody tells me it would ruin the resale value of the car, would involve taking the car apart to paint everything, and would cost around $5,000.00. A few body shops said outright "Buy a red car, it's cheaper"! Do you have any suggestions on painting? I don't care about the resale value, I plan on driving it a long time and investing a lot for maintenance along the way. Help!

Well I don't have the paint on the grille yet cuz I need to Paint it the same color as the car not gonna keep it black. And yea I already have one but I wanted it chrome not silver but I had thought of that also those emblems weren't cheap. And it is going to be a big change from bright white to Candy Blue paint. I'm going to a local custom paint body shop. Not sure really about that I'd keep it white on rims white on white would be BADD.the older montes kind of need wrk dne on them unless they're performance monte the new ones really don't need anything but rims cuz they're new but it just depends where you go.
