Hi All,

Just picked up my 06 LTZ. ALL the bells and whistles. Its a joy to drive. But as any American/Canadian car goes, it has several nuances that have got me puzzled. I joined this forum to see if anyone else has experienced this. Pls let me know where the best exchange of information takes place. I need to know what to tell the dealership when I return it for check-ups. Thanks and I hope to stay a while.

Dave V.

Hello Dave, welcome to MCF!!!

Your best friend is the search function for quick answers to things we have already discussed. The 06' is still fairly new but there are a handful of very qualified GM techs that have been incredibly knowledgeable on the 06' as well as the older models.

Wow, nice photoshop work SR. As for 06SS's question. I know that this is a newbie forum and I should take this discussion elsewhere, but I'll start with the short list.

1. I like the windows down and the sunroof open. The drivers side seat belt vibrates at about 90 decibels when at highway speeds. Nothing short of a bungee chord will make it stop

2. The DIC center is ignoring some my commands for customization even though the settings show being saved.

3. There is a funny vibration somewhere between the dash and fron bumper when I put the car into drive with the brakes on.

4. The Tire pressure monitors monitor the wrong ends of the car and the wrong sides on the front.

I love this car and would like to keep it for the 5 year finance term, but these little things have only come up in 4 days.

Thanks for the read. I'll prolly head out to the tech forums.

1. Yeah, I hear ya about the seat belts... they do slap around quite a bit when the windows are down and you're cruising along. That gets annoying for me as well. Haven't found a way to subdue that yet.

2. Sounds like a computer issue - everything works fine with mine. Have your dealer's service dept. check it out - it's warranty work and wouldn't cost you anything.

3. Haven't experienced this vibration.

4. Sounds like your TPM just needs to be re-learned to the correct tires and locations - no biggie. Again, dealer should take care of the this for you, or you can do it yourself - tells you how to do it in the owner's manual.

Haven't had any of these problems with mine yet. I would follow the advice of taking it to the dealer for the warranty work. I would ask that you report back to the forum with the corrections they made or did not make in case any of us have these problems in the future.
