Those pace cars are both nice. If you buy from a dealer and plan on tradeing your tracker in make sure they give you enough for it. They hold there value very well. especially if it has a v6 and 4 wheel drive.

Well, I won't be looking at the blue Pace Car tonight. The weather is lousy, and something came up that the owners can't make it. The plan right now is to go see it tomorrow night, but I'm not too happy about that. I'm gonna have to miss homecoming at my old high school's football game. The car's more important, though.
The Tracker is V6 and 4 wheel drive, but I can't trade it in its current condition. It has 130,000 miles. I hit a bridge with it last winter and destroyed the passenger side fender. It's all cosmetic damage. I've been driving it ever since and it still passes Pennsylvania state inspection. The plan is to put on a new fender, paint it white and sell it for whatever I can get. I doubt they'll give me anything on a trader in its current condition. This picture doesn't show it too well.

It was a long weekend at work here, today was my Friday. Things are kind of crazy right now, as my 8 year old daughter sprained and possibly fractured her right foot and is on crutches (going to orthopedic clinic to find out if fractured). Despite this turn of events, I'm hoping to look at the 2003 Pace Car tomorrow evening. I've also found about a half dozen other candidates within 200 miles of me, which I may check out if the Pace Car deal falls through for whatever reason. Of course, none of these are Pace Cars, but all are SS's. I wasn't really looking for a 5th gen, but I came across a beautiful black '99 Z34 with 87,000 miles, leather and moonroof, etc. It has service records, books and the original window sticker for $3800. If I didn't want a 2000+ so bad, I'd be all over this one. I hope to purchase my Monte Carlo this week.

The Z34 is way down around Harrisburg in a town called Lebanon.

Test drove the '03 blue Pace Car tonight. Whether was lousy, rainy and it was dusk, but not dark yet. Runs nice, of course. Looks good. Only real concern might be intermittent "Check Engine Light." They said it came on right before they pulled in the meeting spot. Said they had problems with it before, dealer said something about "evap something." Said it might be gas cap, but they had it tested and were told it was fine. Not sure what to make of this yet. I have an OBD II reader, but unfortunately didn't have it with me to pull codes.
The car has 67,000 miles. They were asking $6500. Said they were thinking of re-advertising it for $6200. I asked why they want to sell it and they said they had too many vehicles, including a 2010 Equinox. I told the husband I'd give them $6000 for it. He said he'd tell his wife since she has the final call and its her baby, they'll discuss it and call me back. I'll give them the $6200 unless you guys think the check engine light is cause for major alarm (I know, hard to say without the actual codes.)
If I don't get this car, I will go with a regular SS, or possibly '98-'99 Z34. The Pace Cars are too rare in this area and I'm getting impatient!

Welcome to the forums! I would definitely go for a supercharged model, they are a lot of fun and hold their value better.

Shameless plug* I'm selling my 04 Intimidator. I'll give you a good deal and mine doesn't throw any codes
