A Long Lost Member...Returning
Been a while since I've been on the site. Lost my screen name and password so I reregistered. Still cruzing in my 2000 Pace Car on the nice sunny days here in Northern Ohio. Just about to break the 6000 mile mark on the car I bought new in May of 2000. She still looks like the day I bought her and has every original part on her, right down to the original battery.
Welcome back to your Monte Carlo Family from Akron, Ohio
When were you a member last ? What was your previouis screen name ?

Wish you good weather & clean roads in the Buckeye State

Actually, the photo is from a short trip to New York state in 2011. The photo was taken in route in Pennsylvania. The car is still in winter storage in my garage. The first ten years I stored the car in heated storage in the winter. The last couple I stored it in my unheated garage. Car has always been garage kept. Has never seen a snowflake and has been caught in the rain twice. This car has only been washed four times and has been truely pampered.
I don't remember my previous screen name. It's been years since I visited this site. Life has been busy, to say the least.
My wife will be retireing next spring and we plan to start driving this car a bit then. We have a trip planned from Fort Kent Maine to Key West Florida following old Route US1 as much as possible. I read about this driving trip in a Readers Digest in the early eighties. We have been saving this car for this trip for 13 years. I'm going to hate all those dead bugs on my bumper and windshield though.

I believe Akron is about 1 hour south of me (possibly a little further). I'm almost as close to Lake Erie as one can get before being in the Lake lol.
