I'm sure there are more people on here that have purchased and installed the K&N FIPK II for there Monte Carlos. Mine is a 2004 SS Supercharged and I just installed my K&N, I've noticed and expected a little noise do to the air flow but upon start up there is more than normal and it's a hissing sound. I've checked for leaks and have found none. I have noticed that after the motor or car warms up the sounds goes away and it runs like the normal / stock air box and filter.?.? I was wondernig if anyone else had noticed this or if it will go away with time. I could post a clip of the intake and sound upon start up if anyone is interested.

hey jarin yah this is normal....thats why most people want them on their cars aside from performance is the sound...i love it...

but yes it does get quieter when the car warms up a bit too...

its normal...nothing wrong
