Hello all,

I went to an estate sale today and there is a `71 Monte Carlo sitting there all wet inside and deteriorating away. It look's like it is a 402 car, red with black vinyl top. The decal on the core support says 402, the decal on the air cleaner says 400, but the numbers on the front passenger pad don't seem to match the VIN number. The owner swears it's all original, but he's only owned it since 1991.

I took some pictures of the engine block pad, rusty vin # in the windshield, and body tag.

Not sure if you can see the pictures clear enough or not.

Let me know what you all think. The car is cheap enough...but would like to be able to verify it's original.
