hola, to all....I have an 87 monte ls. I have owned it for about 4 years now and Im interested in fixing it up a bit. It has a 305 in it with 45,000 orig miles. It has been in my shop for a couple years and I need to do something with it. I have just replaced a motor in a toyota tercel. not that easy.I think the 305 would be easier to get aftermarket parts for it. my question is do I have to do alot of work to the engines internals to put a turbo on it? if so what? The car runs great it is pretty quick for a 20 yr old rig. are there to many miles on it to turbo it? thanks again any answers will help

hey, welcome to the site, if your changing the motor you could always go to a 350 or a small block 427 thats always fun

I have a beat up 62 chevy, I think its perfect for the 427 swap. is it a waste of time to turbo the 305? the motor is perfect all orig.
I had to take off the 1/4 top off because it was rotten and causing rust in the body. I caught it in time and the car hasnt seen rain since.
I only drive the car maybe once every 6 months but I start it periodically to keep stuff ie gaskets from drying up.
Ive owned a few 3.8 buicks and they where weak except for the turbo version which was really quick. that's why i thought i could maybe turbo it.

the turbo would be really cool, like in the grand national, but i'm not sure what would be required to do that
